Privacy

KizunaShelf does not collect analytics or telemetry, and you do not need an account with the developer. Your library stays in your vault folder. Search indexes, statistics, and calendars are calculated on your device or self-hosted server.

External metadata providers

Searching a catalog sends your query to the providers configured for that type. Matching, importing, syncing episodes, and downloading covers also contact the relevant services. Some requests include your language preference and any credentials you configured.

These requests go from your device or server to the service; they do not pass through the developer. Each service handles requests under its own privacy policy. You can use KizunaShelf without external providers and enter details yourself.

Sync and hosting

If you sync the vault through a cloud service, that service stores or transfers the files according to its own settings and policies. See Syncing your vault.

For the web app, the vault lives on the server you choose. Your hosting provider's policies apply there. See Self-hosting for access and authentication settings.
