Terminology

A few names you will see in the app and this manual:

Term	Meaning
vault	The folder holding your library, notes, covers, lists, and settings.
library	The collection you browse in KizunaShelf.
entity	One thing in the library, such as an anime, game, album, or character. It has its own Markdown file.
type	A collection of similar entities, such as Anime or Games.
schema	The settings that define your types and their fields.
field	A detail such as title, status, cover, or release date.
role	What a field means: for example, whether a date is a release or a completion.
frontmatter	The details between the --- lines at the top of a Markdown file.
body	The rest of the file: summaries, checklists, and your own notes.
relation	A link between entities.
item	One row inside a list, checklist, or import queue.
provider	A service that supplies titles, covers, and other metadata.
import source	A service or export file you bring your existing collection from.
match	A connection between an entity and a provider result.
daily note	A Markdown note for a particular day.
activity	A dated record, such as finishing an episode or mentioning an entity in a daily note.
smart list	A saved list that updates automatically as entities match its filters.
